| Drakar och Demoner means "Dragons and Demons", and is the
swedisc equaliment to Dungeons and Dragon. The two games differ both in rule set and game
world though, and knowing both options, i must say i prefer the swedish one. Drakar och
Demoner takes place in a world called Ereb Altor, and most playing takes place on a large
continent, Ereb. Like most fantasy games it contains the usual elements, like, dragons,
orcs, knights, elves, magic, e tc. Besides from the original Drakar och
Demoner, several new versions of the game has been released over the years. First it was
just rules suplements in Drakar och Demoner Expert and Drakar and Demoner Gigant. Then it
changed appearence and rules intirely, and became more like some american RPG“s like
G.U.R.P.S. This edition was just called "new" Drakar och Demoner.
But then the game changed completely in Drakar och Demoner "Chronopia"
and suddelny became high fantasy Steampunk. the gameworld was changed to an enourmous
multi-level town. This edition of the game has actually nothing to do with the earlier,
and why they just dont call it "chronopia" and leave out the missguiding Drakar
och demoner in the title (like i do) is a mystery! |
