Hurling: Hurling is one of the most popular gaelic games. The game is a mix of hockey, soccer and rugby. Hurling is played with a stick on a pitch witch look like a footballfield or a rugbyfield. There are two teams with fifteen players in each team. The goal posts look like rugby goal posts Anders Bäckström goals are scored when the ball goes under the crossbar. If the ball goes over the bar the team gets one point. Three points makes one goal. Hurling is one of the fastest games in the world. It´s rather physical and tackles are allowed. Hurling is played wildly in northern Ireland. There is another sport which is just like hurling, camogie, the difference between them is that camogie is played by girls only, the pitch is smaller and there is less physical contact. Rugby: Rugby is one of the most spread sports today. It is a very popular sport in the british colonies. The team consists of 15 players in each team Anders Bäckström the pith is as large as a footballfield. There game is like football, devided into 2 halftimes which are 40 min long with a paus whithin 5 minutes. The goals are 2 bars just like in american football. The sport is very like american football. The difference is that the players has less protection in rugby and the ball can only be passed backwords. Gaelic football: This is also a popular sport in Ireland. It´s a mix of soccer Anders Bäckström rugby. The size of the field is just some meters bigger compared to soccer. The goals look quite like regular soccergoals but the posts reachs up in the air like rugbyposts. The rules are the same as in hurling. The ball is quite heavier than a soccerball. There is no offsiderules in any of these games!
